I have a very special memory I would like to share. Many years ago Mary (McHugh) Edwards was my babysitter and one day she brought me to her house in West Caldwell to hang out. Mr. McHugh and I sat at the kitchen table for several hours and he taught me how to play the gin rummey card game. I can remember it like it was yesterday. He also would tell me stories about being a milk man that may or may not of been true but they sure were exciting and full of suspense.
Mr. McHugh was a kind and gentle man who made a difference in this world. It was truly an honor and privelage to have known him.
My deepest condolences to the McHugh family

Jim was as nice a man as I have ever known. He loved his family, his God, his Town and his Country. I never heard him speak badly of others. He was a man who always took the high road and is someone for all of us to emulate. He leaves behind a wonderful family who will cherish his memory always. RIP.

Jim McHugh was one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Hard working, devout man whose family always came first. Jim knew everybody and everybody knew him. Always had a smile on his face. Set a great example for what a "dad" should be. He'll be missed.

My heartfelt prayers, thoughts, and condolences are extended to Mary Ann, Mary Kate, Jim, Frank and the entire McHigh family. James was my dear wife's uncle. I always enjoyed talking to James (especially sports) at family gatherings. James was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a tremendous witness to his faith which was the center of his life.
It was an honor and privilege to have known Jim.
