Obituary of Mary Ann McHugh

Mary Ann McHugh Devout Catholic Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother Mary Ann McHugh, 85, of the Caldwells, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2015, waiting only 45 days to be reunited with the love of her life, James, a culmination of a lifelong journey in love. Family & friends are invited for visitation at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 (973-226-6696) on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 4 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 10:00 am. Born in Newark, NJ to her parents, Francis and Catherine McEvoy, Mary lived in Pine Brook, NJ, West Caldwell and Caldwell. She was a legal secretary before meeting the love of her life, marrying and raising a family. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, James McHugh, who passed away on September 22, 2015 and her son and hero, Col. John McHugh. Surviving are her devoted children, Mary (Jeff) Edwards, James (Donna) and Frank; a dear daughter-in-law, Connie McHugh; also 10 cherished grandchildren, 7 adored great grandchildren and a loving sister, Catherine McCarthy.
