Obituary of Pierre Guariglia

Pierre Guariglia Beloved husband, father, and grandfather Pierre Guariglia, 88, of Roseland, N.J., passed away on Nov. 6, 2015, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philomena Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, N.J., on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, N.J. Born in Orange, N.J., and raised in Bloomfield, N.J., Pierre married the love of his life, Gloria, and together they raised their family in West Orange, N.J., and Livingston, N.J., before moving to Roseland 10 years ago. Mr. Guariglia was the founder and chairman of Fidelity Paper & Supply Corporation since 1957, which grew to be a national business with branches throughout the continental United States. He was an avid golfer with memberships at the Essex County Country Club in West Orange, N.J., and BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Pierre was the beloved husband of Gloria (nee Dell'Olmo); loving father of Perry, David and Gary Guariglia, and Jeannie Mates; brother of Dominick and Vincent Guariglia; and grandfather of Julianne, Lucas, Peter, Adrienne, Danny, Sofie, Matthew, Darcy, Jessica, Brigitte, and Jeffrey. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pierre's memory to Seton Hall Preparatory School would be appreciated.
