As I read these loving thoughts I remember the times when family was everything. Even though I didn't know Filomena personally, I can relate to those beautiful times when all the family was together and the fact that this is not a popular practice these days is sad. So sorry about the loss, please accept my sincere condolences, and we can have faith that all these good times can be lived again, that the Bifalco family can be together again. (Isaiah 26:19)

I am so sorry to hear about Fil. I remember, like it was yesterday, Fil with the ladies in the kitchen in their matching smocks cooking for the Caldwell Seniors. She was truly a special person who made this world a better place. She taught me not only to cook on those Thusdays but life lessons. She will be missed!
Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
With love,
Joe and Maria Burak

MY AUNT PHIL-
Since Christmas morning when I received the news that My Aunt Phil had passed away that morning, all I can think about is how much of Christmas was her. Christmas Eve for 58 years of my life was ALWAYS at Aunt Phils. Even though I have missed about the passed 20, every Christmas Eve I think of Aunt Phil and that special day. In my younger days, through childhood, through my 20's, Christmas Eve was a night you got to see ALL your cousins, Aunts, and whoevers friend had come along, like I had done many many of times, and always welcomed with open arms. She was amazing and cannot express what she meant to me and everyone she met. She wasn't just MY Aunt Phil, she was Jeannes's Michael's, Theresa,Linda, Donna, all of ours. Because when you spoke to her she made you feel like she was yours. Full attention, and always had the best advice, like THE best, "hey what you going do" which is exactly right Aunt Phil, you can't change what you can't change. Like this moment when you are taken from us. My Aunt Phil took care of me as a child, was my second mom when my own mom was in the hospital. From that time on in Newark NJ, to Mystic CT, to North Caldwell NJ. She was there anytime like a mom, she loved me. Now she joins my Mom and Dad. I am sure they are glad to have her and her spirit. I'm sure she will tell them how crazy the world has gotten, ending in "What you gonna do". Love you Aunt Phil. Will never forget you.
