Nancy was born in Easton, PA to Stanford Leatherberry and Harriet Siegfried. Raised in Easton she moved to West Caldwell in her Senior Year where she graduated in 1949 from Grover Cleveland HS. Soon after she met and married the love of her life, Lajoie "Buck" Saulter. They built a home on Fairfield Avenue in West Caldwell themselves working nights and weekends for 3 years, where they lived for 60 years until Bucky's death. She moved to Parsippany in 2011 to be close to her family. Perhaps one of her most special places was the family's lake house on Estling Lake in Denville, NJ. Mrs. Saulter was a Library Assistant for many years at James Caldwell High School before retiring in 1999. Nancy was an active member of the West Caldwell Presbyterian Church and recently with the First Presbyterian Church of Caldwell; and the Lincoln Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in Caldwell. Nancy was blessed with the gift of a kidney from her friend, Eileen, giving her 7 more years of life, which she lived to the fullest every day. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lajoie "Buck"; siblings, Gerald Beatty, Jane Lambert, Jim and Wayne Leatherberry. Surviving are her devoted daughters, Janet Saulter-Hemmer (Tom) and Gail Reid (Michael); cherished grandson, Scott Singerline and his wife, Dawn. In lieu of flowers, donations to The First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell, Nancy Saulter Memorial Fund, would be deeply appreciated.
