Obituary of Patricia Degnan Regan

Patricia Degnan Regan, of West Orange, NJ, formerly of Verona, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was 91 years old. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, September 15th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ 07006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, September 16th at 10:00am in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 44 Benvenue Ave., W. Orange, NJ 07052. Born in Orange, NJ to Bernard Degnan and Dorothy Dugan, Patricia was raised in West Orange. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair and the College of St. Elizabeth. She lived in Verona for 47 years before moving back to West Orange several years ago. In addition to raising a family of six, she worked at a radio station, WNJR in Newark, for several years. Pat had a lifelong love of music and sang in St. John's Choir in Orange. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Regan, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Alice Behrens Regan; brother, Daniel Degnan S.J.; and sister, Eileen Callaghan. Surviving are her children, Michael Regan, Patricia Regan Taylor, Thomas Regan and his wife, Marla, John Regan and his wife, Valerie, Jeanne Regan and Susan Kastin and her husband, Adam; siblings, Dorothy Hunt, Bernard (Helen) Degnan, Peter (Joan) Degnan, Mary Flynn, and Anne (Kenneth) Kunzman; grandchildren, Sean, Jared, Jason, Aaron, Adam, Kevin, Ryan, Jesse, Christopher, Hannah, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Natalie and Brendan; great grandchildren, Connor, Cameron, Zayn and Keala. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
