Obituary of Laura Tosato Busgang

Laura Tosato Busgang, of New York City, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016. She was 84 years old. Memorial visitation at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936 on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15am. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. Laura was born in Newark, NJ to Angelo and Clotilda Tosato. She was raised in Newark where she attended Arts High School and later graduated from the Pratt Institute in New York. A natural artist she specialized in shoe design and received numerous awards including the Hecht Outstanding Young Designer Award. Among the many accolades received was one from Bruce Nordstrom "Laura is one of the most creative designers that we have ever worked with." She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Irving "Buzz" Busgang. Surviving are her cousins, Inez Tosato Grosso and Irene Tosato; grandson, Mark Mahoney; also many nieces and nephews.
