Obituary of Raymond Wehmeyer

Raymond Wehmeyer, 71, a lifelong resident of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ today Friday, December 9 from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Aloysius R.C. Church 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell on Saturday, December 10 at 10:00am. Ray was born in Montclair, NJ and was a lifelong resident of West Caldwell. He was the son of the late LeRoy and Dorothy Wehmeyer. Mr. Wehmeyer proudly served for six years in the National Guard. He also retired in 2003 as a supervisor with the Essex County Department of Roads & Bridges after 40 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Ann T. Wehmeyer(Glazier); a brother and his wife, Roy and Rita Wehmeyer; two sons with their wives, Allen and Beverly Fries and Robert and Susan Fries; a granddaughter, Amber; a daughter-in-law, Denise Fries; a brother-in-law, Harry Glazier; two sister-in-laws, Gwen Glazier and Elaine Hubert with her husband, Ken; also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas Fries and his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bob Pierce.
