Obituary of Ralph V. Striglia

Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather WWII Veteran Ralph V. Striglia, Sr., 94, of Montville, NJ, formerly of Newark, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Visitation will be held at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ on Sunday, February 26 from 2-6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 12 Hollywood Avenue, Fairfield, NJ on Monday, February 27 at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Ralph lived in Newark until he and Edith moved to Montville in 1997. Mr. Striglia proudly served in the US Army Air Corp and was a Veteran of World War II. When he returned from the war he joined the father's business, Electronic Enterprise, Newark, afterward Ralph and his brother, Sam formed R & S Manufacturing also in Newark, which he owned until his retirement. In 1949 he met and married the love of his life, Edith, and together they raised their two sons, Nicholas and Ralph, Jr. His greatest joy in life was being a part of his two grandsons, Nicholas and Vincent, lives and sharing in their achievements. Surviving are his beloved wife, Edith G. (Russoman); devoted sons, Nicholas and his wife, Judy, and Ralph, Jr.; cherished grandsons Nicholas and Vincent; a loving sister, Rachel McHugh; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Sam and sisters, Elizabeth, Lucy D'Aloia and Marion Salierno.
