Obituary of Paul G. Piplani
Army Veteran
Paul "Pip" G. Piplani, of West Caldwell, NJ, 59, passed away at home on Saturday, June 3, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Berwyn, IL to Om and Shirley (Spunaugle) Piplani, Paul graduated from James Caldwell High School in West Caldwell, NJ and Millikin University University in Decatur, IL.
Paul proudly served in the United States Army and was an active member of the American Legion, James Caldwell Post 185 in Caldwell.
He worked in risk management for many years with ADP in Roseland, NJ and later for the Swatch Company in Secaucus, NJ.
Pip was a familiar face around town. He had a gift for conversation and made friends easily. He enjoyed playing golf, watching car racing, going to the beach and just being with friends and family.
Paul is survived by his companion, Karen Priore with her daughter, Marisa and grandson, Myles: parents, Om and Shirley Piplani; brother, Perry; sister-in-law, Dinah; niece, Rosemary Piplani; also many friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother, Alec.
Relatives and friends can visit at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Wednesday, June 7th from 4 - 8 pm. The American Legion, Post 185 members will have a service on Wednesday evening at 7:00pm to honor Paul's military service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Notre Dame R.C. Church, 359 Central Avenue, North Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Thursday, June 8th at 11:00 am. The US Army will present Military Honors following the Mass. The cremation is private.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to American Cancer Society or Vitas Healthcare.
