Johanna Britsman a centenarian of Crane's Mill in West Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. She just celebrated her 100th birthday in June. A Service Celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:30 am in the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 8 Academy Road, Caldwell. The interment will be private in Laurel Land in Dallas, TX. Arrangements are in care of The Codey & Jones Funeral Home of Caldwell. After her marriage Johanna lived in Dallas, TX from 1967-1996 before moving back to NJ where she has lived and thrived at Crane's Mill. For many years she was the editor of the Mills Stream Newsletter. Johanna was a graduate of Bloomfield College with a degree in business and Southern University of Texas with a Masters in Music. In addition to working as an executive secretary at Andrew Jergens Company in Bloomfield. Johanna was an accomplished musician and organist. She was predeceased by her husband, Palmer Britsman; step-daughters, Dorothy Bonje and Elizabeth Thornhill; sisters, Rachel Julia Rotter, Anna Napoliello and Margaret Tester; brothers, Fred, Albert and August Errico. Surviving are her step-son, Lawrence Britsman; several nieces, Louise Woodcox, Nona Casazza, Louise Kinsey and Dortohy DeFazio; nephews, Richard Tester and Carl Errico; also several close friends at Cranes Mill.
