Obituary of Lawrence J. DeBonis

Photographer of West Caldwell Lawrence "Larry" J. DeBonis, 77, of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ (973-226-6696) on Sunday, October, 15th from 2-6 pm. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Thomas More Church, 12 Hollywood Avenue, Fairfield, NJ on Monday, October 16th at 10:00 am. Born and raised in Montclair, NJ. Larry was the son of the late Lawrence and Jennie (Vitale) DeBonis. He and his wife, Jackie, have lived in West Caldwell for the past 52 years. Larry and Jackie also lived part-time at the Essex & Sussex Condominium in Spring Lake, NJ. Larry was employed as an electronics technician with Microlab in Livingston and was a wedding and corporate photographer for more than 40 years. He was also an award-winning member of the Professional Photographers Association of NJ. Surviving are his beloved wife, Rose Marie "Jackie" (Fleming) DeBonis; loving daughter, Mary Elizabeth DeBonis; dear brother, Michael DeBonis and his wife, Ann Marie; and adored grandchildren, Jennie and Michael Soccio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry's memory to the West Essex First Aid Squad.
