Devoted Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great Great Grandfather

 

Mario D. Bifalco, of North Caldwell, NJ, joined his beloved wife, Filomena, in heaven on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Family & friends celebrated his 90th birthday this past March with a party at the North Caldwell Firemen's Hall.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ 07006 (973-226-6696) on Monday, October 30th from 4 – 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell on Tuesday, October 31st at 10:00 am. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Mario was the son of Daniel and Orsolina Bifalco. He met and married the love of his life Filomena (Grasso) when they were working at a five & dime store in Newark. Together they raised their family in North Caldwell where he has lived for 51 years.

 

Mr. Bifalco proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and will be bestowed Military Honors by the US Navy.

 

Mario worked at Bond Clothes Company in Newark and as a production manager at Walter Kidde in Belleville and The Adronics-Elrob Corp. in Cedar Grove before his retirement.

 

In addition to his beloved wife, Filomena, he was predeceased by his brother, Gennaro and sister, Margaret DeRogatis.

 

Surviving are his devoted children, Phyllis Pepler, Daniel (Donna), Mario (Nancy) and Mark (Caroline) Bifalco; loving grandchildren, Thomas, Mario, Daniel, Melissa, Dara, Ashley, Elizabeth and Brian; cherished great grandchildren, Jessica, Grace, Aurora and Joshua; adored great great grandchildren, Connor, Faith and Tristan.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mario's memory to the West Essex First Aid Squad or North Caldwell Police Foundation would be deeply appreciated.
