Obituary of James W. Doran

James W. Doran, Jr., Esq. Attorney of Roseland, NJ James W. Doran, Jr., Esq., of Roseland and Culver Lake, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be held at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 (973-226-1166) on Tuesday, December 12th from 5-8 pm. The service and interment will be private. He was raised in Maplewood and graduated from St. Benedict's Prep in Newark and attended St. Vincent College. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service, he graduated from Farleigh Dickinson with a bachelor degree in business, then from Seton Hall Law School with a Juris Doctorate and later received his Master's in Law from New York University. Highly respected in his professional life, Jim was House Council for New Jersey Manufacturer's Insurance Company for many years before establishing his own practice. Surviving are his beloved wife of forty two years, Gladys (Wheelihan); devoted children, James W., III, John L., Patricia Ann Page, William J. and Lorraine Cuber (Robert); a loving step-daughter, Meredith Walling-Leonard (John); dear sisters, Ellen Ryan (Alan) and Mary Ball (Robert); cherished grandchildren, Patricia, William, Thomas, Kenneth, Robert, James, Grayson and Madeleine. He was predeceased by his infant son, Thomas.
