Margaret L. Sullivan Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother Margaret Lorraine Sullivan, a longtime resident of Caldwell, NJ, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 after a brief illness. The family will receive friends at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Thursday, April 5th from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, NJ on Friday, April 6th at 11:00 am. The interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell. To extend a condolence or share a memory, please visit www.codeyjonesfh.com. Born in Throop, PA to Stephen and Veronica Messarosh, and raised in Scranton, PA, the family moved to Caldwell when Margaret was 12 years old. She was a 1949 graduate of Grover Cleveland High School where she met and married the love of her life, the late Captain Raymond S. Sullivan, Sr., Caldwell PD, and together they raised their family in Caldwell. Early in her life she worked for Konner's Chevrolet in Caldwell. Being a mom came naturally to Marge. She was active in her children's lives she was a Den mother for Pack 1 BSA in Caldwell and an Assistant Troop leader with Troop 766 GSA in Caldwell. She served on the board of the West Essex Chapter 2, a widow & widowers support group. Margie was an award winning ballroom dancer. She is survived by her devoted children, Raymond S. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, Robert Sullivan and his girlfriend, Suzanne Seaman, and Kimberly McGuire and her husband, Jeffrey; cherished granddaughter, Brianna Maglio and her husband, Tony; adored great granddaughter, Penelope; loving brother, Stephen Messarosh and sister, Anastasia Foley; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department Children's Education Fund or West Essex First Aid Squad would be deeply appreciated.
