Obituary of Marie Condon

Marie Condon Loving Mother and Grandmother Marie Condon of West Orange, NJ, formerly of Orange, NJ, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. She was a remarkable 95 years old. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ on Thursday, October 11th from 4-8 pm. A Liturgy for a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, 518 Valley Street, Orange, NJ on Friday, October 12th at 10:00 am. The interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. To share a condolence or memory, please visit www.codeyjonesfh.com. Marie was born in Newark, NJ to Peter and Anna Cecere. She was raised in both Newark and Orange. She graduated from Orange High School. She met her future husband, Michael J. Condon, in Metcalf Park and together they raised their 3 boys in Orange. Michael passed away in 1972. Marie was an administrative clerk with the City of Orange in the Mayor's Office and later with the American Lung Association in Orange before her retirement. Surviving are her devoted sons and their wives, Michael and Carolyn, Kenneth and Lynette, and Steven and Lois; loving brother Walter Cecere and his wife, Dolores; cherished grandchildren, Kellie, Lauren, Kenny and Rachel; adored great grandchildren, Lucy, Amelia and Robin. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie's memory to Our Lady of the Valley Church would be appreciated.
