I knew Scott at his place of work and just found out yesterday what happened. What a great guy he was and I only met him about 5 times very briefly. In that short time I could tell that he was a special person by the way he always seemed to shine.
I'm so sorry to his family for the loss of such a special guy.
After reading through the stories from his loved ones it's no surprise that he was so loved.
Personally I believe that he is still around in spirit and will always watch over his family.
I'm sending a prayer for you guys and for Scott.

This is Scott with Weston in 2005, taken when I was there for a visit to celebrate with Scott and Missy. I'll go through my files and post more as I find them in days to come. Rest in peace, Scott - I am proud to have had you for a brother.

Missy & boys,
We want you to know that our thoughts and prayers were with you throughout this day (and since we heard of Scott's death).
From the first time we met Scott, to the times we were at the Fireside, and Christmas get-togethers, we remember Scott as a friendly, kind, smiling person and a loving husband and father.
We were fortunate to have had him in our family.
We will continue to cherish his memory and never forget.
For Missy, Weston, and Keaton we send our continuing love and support.

Wow, I didn't know until Monday night of his passing. Was a shocker to say the least. Me and Scott lost touch in junior high and high school....but I remember him very well in my youth. The sleepovers, throwing old records from his bedroom window onto Francis place where he lived. Playing football on the street, watching pro-wresting on WWOR-TV on Friday nights. Going to the movies with him and i think victor petrera. The classic was when he was over my house on espy road, and he climbed up a rope we had tied to one of our trees in the backyard, then tried to take a leak on a friend of mine from the tree, I was laughing so hard it hurt! Oh, his father had an awesome playboy magazine collection....come on, we were kids! what did we know? It's just what kids do and was happy to be a part of it. What a shame we have to grow up. Rest in peace Scott, we'll meet again soon.

Missy,
Words can't express how horrible we feel for you, Weston and Keaton.
Scott was a great guy. I don't think I ever saw him not smiling. I remember watching from across the street as he played with the boys in the front yard -- he was obviously a very dedicated and really fun Dad.
I will never forget when he came to the boys party wearing a Superman costume! He was the hit of the party. He then pulled a wagon filled with kids for about an hour around our yard.
Then there were the cigars we shared. I still have a text on my phone from the last time we shared a cigar in my yard. I will miss that and him very much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Weston and Keaton.
Love, Mark and Megan

It's a fact that you and Scott were a match made it heaven. I saw that from the start. What a very painful time this is. It was my good fortune to have you both in my life for that small window of time. Scott will not be soon be forgotten as he helped and loved so many of us with his unbridled kindness which will shine on for as long as we all are here to speak of it. My prayers go out to you the boys and your family.

Missy, Weston and Keaton,
I was so saddened to hear of the loss of Scott. I will always remember when Weston was in my class and then when Keaton was at our school and how his face lit up when he spoke of the boys. I can still see him carrying Keaton on his shoulders as he brought him into school. He was such a fun loving guy and his personality came shining through. He and his friend once gave a little concert for the children at school and you could see how much he enjoyed himself and life. I also admired the relationship the two of you had and you could see how much you loved each other and truly enjoyed spending time together. Again, I am so sorry for your loss and you and the boys are in my prayers.

As I reminisce about my childhood, thoughts of you will always come to mind. Like countless others I have such fond memories of going to your house and being welcomed at any time, for any reason. You were friends with everyone back then, people adored you and your fun nature. You haven’t changed a bit in all these years; people still adore you and your fun nature. I hadn’t seen you for years until a tragic event brought us together just a few short months ago. I remember turning around and there you were…with such care in your eyes and arms outstretched to offer a comforting hug. You still had that wonderful smile and I will never forget that. Thank you for being there for me and my family. Today, I hope I can offer that same comfort to your lovely wife Melissa and the rest of your family. Rest in peace Scott and may your family find comfort in the wonderful memories of such a great man.
All my love,
Marlene
