Obituary of Charles Edwards

Charles Edwards of Caldwell, New Jersey, unexpectedly passed away at home on Sunday January 20, 2019. He lived for 31 years with us here on earth - but he will leave us, his family and friends, with a lifetime of loving memories.

Charles was born in Rockville Centre, New York to his loving parents, Bert and Adele (Cleveland) Edwards. He was the youngest of four children raised in Essex Fells, New Jersey.

Charles graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He loved to cook and was a true "foodie!" His passion for cooking followed him in his career as a Chef in Charleston, South Carolina and Montclair, New Jersey.

His greatest joy in life was his family. Other joys in his life included South Carolina, cooking and music. Charles also enjoyed playing football, lacrosse and golf.

Please join the family as they celebrate his life with a memorial visitation at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm followed by a memorial service at 1:30 pm in the funeral home.

Surviving are his devoted parents, Bert and Adele; loving grandmother, Billie Cleveland; cherished siblings, Catherine, William and Elizabeth; adored nephew, Matthew Taylor; also many relatives and friends who will truly miss his loving spirit. Charles is reunited in heaven with his brother, Bert Taylor, who passed away from SIDS.
