Marguerite V. Bischoff, fondly known as "Maggie" by all those who loved and adored her, peacefully passed on Saturday, April 4, 2020, she blessed us with 92 years of joy filled memories. Maggie was a lifelong resident of West Caldwell, NJ, where she and her husband, the late Charles F. Bischoff, Jr., raised their family. Maggie was born in Glen Ridge, NJ to the late Raymond and Adeline (Schroeder) VanDyke. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1945 and Averett College in Virginia. Maggie and Charlie where active in the community, especially at the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell, where they participated in church committees, session, deacons and the Serve Shop. Nobody loved a party or could throw a better one than Maggie. Memories of fun times in Cape Cod and Hilton Head with all their friends and family are everlasting. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, friend, neighbor and church member. Maggie was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. Maggie was also a member of the Garden Club of Caldwell for years. In addition to her beloved husband, Charlie, and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert VanDyke. Surviving to keep her memory alive are her devoted children, Anne Brindisi and her husband, Robert of West Caldwell, Charles F. Bischoff, III and his wife, Jennifer of Chatham, NJ, cherished grandchildren, Matthew Brindisi, Charles and his wife Catherine, Henry, Ellen and George Bischoff. As well as her four nieces and two nephews. When we can once again gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable child of God, we will announce services at the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell.
