John Anthony Freda tragically passed away on April 22, 2020 from Covid-19. Born in Belleville, New Jersey on June 20, 1968 to Lawrence, Jr. and Victoria (nee Baranello) Freda. He is survived by sons, Brian, David and Adam; his two brothers, Lawrence, III and his wife Mary; Alexander and his wife Joanne; nephews Matthew, Alexander, Jr. and Kevin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved friends.

He was a licensed optician in the State of New Jersey for many years, and last worked for Walmart Optical in Riverdale NJ. He studied at Raritan Valley Community College and was a 1986 graduate of West Essex Regional High School in North Caldwell.

He had a creative soul. He loved movies, television, books, and the superhero universe. He was always working on something. He had a real talent for writing and drawing, enjoyed creating funny social media memes and loved working on art projects using figurines.

John had a knack for trying to make people feel special. He would spend hours searching for or creating the perfect gift to give someone. John will always be remembered as a funny, thoughtful, intelligent and introspective man.
