Obituary of Jean M. Petoia
Jean M. Petoia (Fisher) of West Caldwell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She was 88.
Born in East Orange, Jean grew up in Bloomfield and graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, Bob, in 1952. They spent 68 wonderful years together before Bob’s passing in 2020.
Starting out in West Orange and Bloomfield, Jean and Bob moved to West Caldwell in 1964 to raise their family. They moved to Brick, NJ in 1995 where they lived until returning to West Caldwell in 2017.
Jean had a knack for real estate and was always a trusted member of the community. She worked as a Real Estate Agent for Weichert Realtors, John Young and other agencies and worked as an Employee Relocation Counselor for Forward Mobility, a company owned and operated by her daughter Donna. Jean continued her real estate career at the Jersey Shore for Lee Childers Agency and others after moving to Brick.
Surviving is her daughter, Donna Levenstien and husband Robert of NYC and Hague NY; her son, Robert Petoia and wife Caroline of West Caldwell; her son, Ron Petoia of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; her 14 grandchildren, Jennifer, Lauren, Michelle, Katie, Michael, Robert, Cabot, Talia, Malynne, Gabriel, Jacob, Jeremiah, Callum and Evangeline; and her 5 great-grandchildren, Priya, Nola, Ryan, Amanda and Levi.
Due to present circumstances, interment at Restland Memorial Park in E. Hanover was private.
