Obituary of Catherine T. Fagan
Catherine T. Fagan, 95, of Sparta, NJ, formerly of Orange and West Orange, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, February 27, 2023.
Catherine was born to Louis and Catherine (Fraser) Bross in Orange, where she grew up. She graduated from Orange High School and began her career in banking. Catherine was employed as an accounts receivable clerk for PNC Bank and its previous entities. She retired in the late 1990s.
Catherine lived in Orange before moving to West Orange 40 years ago. She spent the last 20 years in Sparta. Catherine enjoyed taking long walks – she walked everywhere! She also liked doing puzzles, WordFinds and relaxing with a good book. Catherine was blessed with good health right up until recently, so she was able to enjoy her most favorite thing – her family. She especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband, John and her daughter, Cathy. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Gizzo; her son, John Fagan; her grandchildren, Devin, Casey and Dylan Gizzo; her brother, Joe Bross and his wife, JoAnn; and her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, March 3rd, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Codey Funeral Home in Caldwell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 4th at 10:30am in St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
