To the family of Mary Flannery:Both Brenda and myself wish once again,to express our deepest condolences on the passing of Mary. When I worked downtown across from Mutual Benefit at 1 Washington Park(NJ Bell)for a few years back in the '80's Mary would frequently drive me down with her if she saw me walking up to the #29 bus.
She was a kind person, she didn't have to stop, but she always did if our timing was the same.
Now what I must comment on was Mary's excellent driving ability.
Living only two doors from Mary I was(and Brenda too) I was impressed
with her backing ability. She would start from the street and back some
175 feet with a stone wall on one side and raised Belgian blocks on the other and never stop or hesitate once backing right into her garage, not as much as even rubbing her tires on the curb-never in all kinds of weather as well, amazing, some professional truckers couldn't do it!!
I told Mary that as well, she would just smile. We extend our condolences,Greg & Brenda

Mary and I were part of the Mutual Benefit Life Law Department 'family' for many years together, and then both landed at the Archdiocese, so, but for a few year's break in between, we have worked in fairly close proximity to each other since the mid-70's. It was a blessing to be able to include her among my friends. I will miss her greatly. RIP Mary.

Mary was a co-worker and friend of mine since 1978. We worked together at MBL and I had the opportunity to reconnect with her when she started working for the Inner-city scholarship fund. She was a wonderful woman and I have many, many fond memories of her. May she R.I.P.
