Edmund Oscar Navarro Comptroller in Garment Industry Edmund Oscar Navarro, 92, of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 16, 2014 surrounded by his family. Family and friends are invited for visitation at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Sunday, October 19th from 2 – 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell on Monday, October 20th at 10:00 am. Oscar was born in Villa Ana, Argentina to parents Joseph and Savina Navarro. He came to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, NY before moving to West Caldwell in 1972. Mr. Navarro was a Comptroller for many years with Braunstein Express in New York, NY. After his retirement he owned and operated Park Ave. Limousine in Caldwell for 15 years. Most of all, Oscar loved his family and enjoyed traveling back to his homeland in Argentina. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nelida (Maure), devoted children, Irene Diaz, John Navarro and Claudia Torrisi; also 9 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Oscar Navarro.
