Obituary of Robert Burton Jelly

Robert Burton Jelly, 57, of Bloomfield, NJ, formerly of Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 after a long illness. Due to a winter storm the services are canceled. The Jelly family encourages everyone to remember him as you make donation to The Mental Health Association of Montclair. Arrangements are in the trusted care of Codey and Jones Funeral Home of Caldwell. Burt was born in Orange, NJ and raised in Caldwell. The past few years he has lived in Bloomfield. He was an automobile mechanic, specializing in transmission repairs. He carried on his father's trade and worked at the family business, Jelly Transmissions in Kearny, NJ for many years. Afterwards he worked at other companies including Warnock in East Hanover. He was active with The Mental Health Association of Essex County in Montclair and a member of the Comfort Zone Group. Surviving are his devoted mother, Janet M. Jelly; loving sisters Brenda Ginste, Lynda Jelly and Susan Bradley; also 6 nieces and 3 nephews. Donations in Burt's memory made to The Mental Health Association of Essex County, 33 S. Fullerton Ave., Montclair, NJ 07042, would be greatly appreciated.
