Both shocked and saddened to hear of this terrible news. Larry was a great friend. Someone I could always turn to for advice and he was always there for me when I need help.
One day I called Larry because I had money to pay my meat bill and I asked him if I could use that money to help pay off my daughter's wedding and pay him back in a few weeks. Not only did he say yes he offered to send his driver with any more money I might have needed. He was that kind of a man.
Good bye Larry you will be missed.

Larry was a man with a kind heart. We met Larry shortly after he opened villa meats. Our home is less than a mile and a half from the store. Larry delivered to our home several times a week. But that was the beginning. Larry would donate a basket or contribute to every school fundraiser, national council of Jewish women or any other organization I requested. He gave my kids a ride home from Bloomfield avenue when I was away. He would always tell me when I would go away, "if your kids need anything, just have them call. Anything you want", he would say. Larry even tried talking to the police when I was stopped in town for speeding. He was truly a guy who cared. We were all sad when he retired but wished him luck. Two weeks ago he tried to help me start my car. He was a kind man with a generous heart. We will miss him
