No words can express the loss of a man like Mr. Martin. My prayers are with your family. Having briefly met Mr. Martin, I know how he had touched the lives of so many including his family. I know he'll be sorely missed. I know his legacy lives on in the people he's touched throughout his life and all of you. My condolences to the Martin family and extended family of Mr. "Red" Martin.

worded so well.

Please except my deepest condolences to the Martin family.I would have attended the wake/funeral is I had been able. Please accept my regret in not being able to do so as I'm
"under house arrest"with a badly broken ankle and have been ordered to remain off of it.
Although I've never had the pleasure to meet Mr.Martin,I did have the pleasure of knowing Mike,as gave him many rides home from his work.Mike was a credit to the Martin family and someone that any one of us could certainly have benefited from simply by knowing him.A little strange with both Mr.Martin and myself living up on Farrington for all of those years, but we never had the privilege of meeting! However,a day or so before he passed I was on my way down to the store and spotted him sitting on his front step,I tapped the horn and we both waved. This was really the only contact we ever had.
None the less I felt that a little background information was necessary.Mr.Martin had quite a career and I now see that he worked with a former friend and classmate from Caldwell High at West Essex, the late Bill Battershall who was injured at school forcing
him to retire. Please except my deepest sympathies to all of the Martin Family.
Respectfully,Gregory Mitchell (24 Farrington)

I'm a better man for having known Red Martin. My father died in 2000 and Red was always there for me with good fatherly wisdom. I'm so grateful. If I could thank him for everything...it would take a thousand pages. Red was a friend, a true friend and I miss him.

Doing well in life is not nearly as important as doing "good" in life. One of the greatest blessings in life is family and how we do as parents, is the most important role in life. Your family is a testament to your great success at life. Well Done!

So sorry to hear about the loss of such an accomplished man and great father. He and his wife raised some amazing children that I've been fortunate to know and call friends. Always know that love never dies, rather it transcends and brings us all together again one day......
